What to Expect...
What to bring
If you are joining us for a full or part day programme or you have booked to use the leisure facilities, we will provide you with a robe, towels, slippers and a bag for your wet costume. All you need to bring is your swim wear and personal toiletries.
Amenities
Changing rooms, lockers and showers are provided for use during your visit. To maximise your spa experience, we highly recommend making use of the indoor and outdoor leisure facilities of the hotel.
Spa lunches and beverages
We offer an excellent range of freshly produced light snacks during the day. Hot and cold beverages are available including freshly squeezed juices, fruit smoothies and a fully stocked licensed bar.
How do I reserve my treatments?
Treatments can be booked by telephoning the Spa direct on 01983 405848 or visiting the Spa in person. It is recommended that you make a reservation at your earliest convenience so that the Spa can accommodate your schedule.
Who can help me choose my treatments?
The Spa therapists will help you plan the perfect spa experience, including the best order in which to receive the treatments. Spa packages are designed to offer you a selection of the treatments available.
When should I arrive?
We advise arriving at least 15 minutes prior to your treatment.
What happens when I get there?
On arrival you should report to reception where you will then be escorted to the relaxation area. Your therapist will then show you to your treatment room. Following your treatment, the therapist will escort you back to the relaxation area where you will be advised to rest for around 10 minutes. Payment for your treatments should be made at reception prior to departure.
If you have booked for a part or full day programme or you have decided to use the spa leisure facilities prior to your treatment, you will be given an orientation tour of the spa and supplied with towels, a robe and slippers. You can change in to your swim wear, robe and slippers in the Spa changing rooms and then place your clothes and personal items in the locker room.
If you are resident at the hotel, a robe and slippers are provided in your bedroom. We advise that you change in your bedroom before coming down to the Spa. You should allow at least 30 minutes of relaxation time in the leisure area before making your way to the relaxation area. Your therapist will then show you to your treatment room for your first treatment.
What should I wear?
If you are using the leisure facilities, swimwear should be worn and a robe and slippers will be provided. Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothes or with just under wear and the therapist will ensure you are modestly covered at all times. For treatments such as facials, reflexology, Indian head massage, Hopi Ear Candling and treatments of the hands and feet we suggest wearing loose comfortable clothing.
What if I have a special health consideration?
Your therapist will help you to complete a self-declaration questionnaire prior to your treatment. This will enable the therapist to ensure that your chosen treatment and products used are appropriate for any health condition you may have. The therapists are trained to advise you of any treatments that should be avoided with certain health conditions or of treatments that may benefit you.
What if I am late?
Arriving late will limit the time for your treatment thus lessening the effectiveness and your pleasure.
What other facilities can I use?
Use of our spa facilities is FREE when having any treatment and is highly recommended prior to your treatment in order to prepare the body and enhance the relaxation experience. Arrival 45 minutes before your appointment is advised. Utopia Spa facilities include indoor pool, sauna, infra red detox box, Jacuzzi and relaxation area. During clement weather you may also make use of our outside pool, sun terrace and garden.
A Spa Menu offering light snacks and refreshments including freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, is available during the day.
The Festival Bar, fully licensed, is open for residents and non-residents throughout the day and evening.
The Summerhill Restaurant, offering quality table d'hote and a la carte menus, is open nightly from 6.30-8.30pm.
How can I organise a treatment for a friend?
Our recommendation is to purchase a gift voucher. This can be for a treatment, programme or specific monetary value.

48 hours notice is required for cancellation of an appointment. 50% will be charged if the cancellation is made less than48 hours prior to the appointment. Less than 24 hours notice or failure to show for an appointment will be charged at the full treatment price.
